List Of Picnic Sites In Nairobi National Park

Here is a list of picnic sites in Nairobi National Park. Nairobi National Park is a short drive out of Nairobi’s central business district. Wide open grass plains and the backdrop of the city scrapers and scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife.

Nairobi is the only city in the world with a National park on its doorstep. Because of its proximity, the park is ideal for a day or half-day safari. Do you want to get up close and personal with lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, and rhinos, or do you want to explore nature? Nairobi National Park will meet your needs. Visitors can also enjoy the park’s picnic sites, three campsites, and walking trails for hikers.

This event helped improve Kenya’s conservation image during a time when East African wildlife was being devastated by rampant poaching, and it is widely credited with helping to turn the tide against poaching in the country.

In 2011, President Kibaki burned five tonnes of ivory. In 2016, President Uhuru Kenyatta oversaw the incineration of 100 tonnes of ivory at the same site, equivalent to the tusks of 6,000 elephants, representing 5% of global ivory stocks. The location is also ideal for picnics and other outdoor events.
