The Hub Karen, Nairobi’s premier shopping mall set in the heart of the Karen, became the first mall in East Africa to offer this range of exciting and family-friendly entertainment.
The “Adrenaline Hub” includes high-speed racing ziplines, freefall jumping into a giant airbag, and a giant swing that flings three people at a time through a 10-metre arc. Adults with a sense of adventure (while being over 1.4m tall and under 120kg) can enjoy these activities and more.
For younger children, there is a 40-metre kid zipline to enjoy. Parents will be able to watch their children take part in the activities, join in themselves, or explore other new additions to The Hub Karen. These include a food hall serving Japanese and Chinese food, among other cuisines, along with a dessert station.
The JUMP brand of aerial adventure activities is provided by Flying Fox, an experienced adventure provider operating to international safety standards. Flying Fox also operates the very successful six-zipline tour in Kereita Forest, Kimende. JUMP’s instructors are on-site at all times to provide safety training and supervision to both adults and children taking part.

1. Racing Ziplining
These are high, side-by-side twin 140 & 180-metre zip lines. Start on a small training wire before launching on the first 140-metre twin zipline (two zips side-by-side) from The Hub’s Lakeside Food Court, flying over both lakes and landing at the base of the “Jump Tower,” before returning on the second 180-metre twin zipline, which launches from the top of the Jump Tower and lands you back at the Food Court and the Jump by Flying Fox Office.

2. Airbag Jump
This is a free-fall jump into an airbag from up to 10 metres above the ground. Jump from 5, 7.5, and 10 metres into a custom-made and imported airbag. In this session, you will be accompanied by an instructor who will give you a demonstration, and plenty of encouragement. This activity has no strict time frame but allows for approximately 30 minutes. You’ll be required to demonstrate good jumping technique on the 1st and 2nd levels before heading up to jump from the top platform. Participants are required to be above 1.4m and below 120kg to jump from the top platform.

3. Leap Of Faith
In this activity, leap from the 14-metre-high platform while attached to a TruBlue auto belay device and try to hit the punchbag positioned 3–4 metres away from the platform. This activity is suitable for children aged 4 and above within the weight limit of 10-150kg.

4. Climbing Wall
You will face a 13-metre artificial rock climbing wall with easy, medium, and hard routes here. During a climbing session, you’ll be given guidance from an instructor who will also belay you (hold the safety rope) on both sides of the wall. A session typically lasts 30 minutes, depending on the group size, which is a maximum of 12. The Jump by Flying Fox climbing wall is suitable for ages 5 to 85 and up to 120kg.

5. Abseiling
Also known as rappelling, it involves lowering yourself down our 13-metre climbing wall. Lower yourself like a commando (while we hold a backup safety line) down our 13-metre climbing wall. You may have already climbed the wall, but it looks much higher from the top. This activity is suitable for those 1.4m or older and under 120kg.

6. Giant Swing
In this activity, 3 participants are attached to a swing, hoisted up to 8 metres by an electric winch, and then the participants pull a quick-release rip chord to plummet back down to earth. This activity is suitable for anyone above 1.4m and below 120kg.
