Holy Family Basilica Parking Charges 2025

In this article, we will discuss the Holy Family Basilica Parking Charges. The Basilica of the Holy Family, also known as the Basilica of the Holy Family, is located in City Square, Nairobi, Kenya, at the end of Koinange Street between Kaunda Street, Parliament Road, and City Hall Way. It is a significant landmark and an important place of worship.

The Holy Basilica Parking Silo was officially opened on December 2nd, 2019 by John Cardinal Njue as a creative way of providing motorists with additional, convenient and secure parking spaces within the city centre.

Holy Family Basilica Parking: All You Need To Know

The Holy Family Basilica Parking is one of the best and most secure places to park your car. The facility’s location is also strategic for guests attending meetings and conferences within Nairobi CBD. It offers exclusivity and is within quick reach of the Uhuru Highway and Mombasa Road exit routes. The parking facility has a capacity of 516 slots and is split into four levels underground. It features automated entry and exit control and grants access to authorized vehicles only, enhancing the safety of parked cars.

The facility boasts an advanced intelligent parking guidance system (PGS) integrating traffic monitoring, communication, processing, and information dissemination technologies. This system provides drivers with dynamic, real-time updates on space availability. Utilizing outdoor and indoor occupancy signs and bay indicators, the system effectively directs drivers to available parking spots, simplifying the parking experience. These innovative features offer unparalleled convenience at the facility. Additionally, the design ensures that parked vehicles are protected from minor thefts, disturbances, and adverse weather conditions.

Two lifts serve this facility, making it accessible to the physically challenged. All four levels have enough conditioning machines, fire-fighting equipment, and CA, as well as carbon detectors. CCTV surveillance is available 24/7.

The lighting system has sensors that detect and adjust the optimal lighting level. The Basilica is using solar power at the facility to cut energy costs. Additionally, the parking silo is served by a helical staircase that uses glass to allow natural light to penetrate to the fourth level.

The Holy Family Basilica decided that providing additional parking spaces would be useful not only for the congregants but also as an extra source of revenue to support the church’s evangelization and social work, such as furthering education, medical services, charity, and other community support initiatives.
