1. TGRV Circuit, Mai Mahiu

TGRV is located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley in Mai Mahiu. It is an international standard facility built according to CIK-FIA regulations regarding design, technicalities, and drivability. Has a 1.2km track with amazing views of the Rift Valley. Great for an out-of-town excursion with friends and family.

Go Kart will cost you Kshs 2,800 for 10 minutes, 15 minutes costs Kshs 3,500 whereas 30 minutes will cost Kshs 6,000.

2. Whistling Morans, Athi River

Whistling Morans is located in Athi River, Machakos County. Has one of the largest tracks in Africa with a length of 1.2km and a width of 8 meters. They also have an elevated viewing area for spectators with seating and refreshments available right behind the pits.

They charge Kshs 2,000 and Kshs 4,000 for 10 minutes and 20 minutes respectively for a single engine whereas Kshs 4,000 and Kshs 8,000 for 10 minutes and 20 minutes for a double engine.

3. GP-Karting Langata

It’s located along Langata Road, near the famous Carnivore Restaurant. GP-Karting Langata is the oldest and the most affordable place to go. Their charges are fair. Each of the prices below is for 10 minutes which you can do continuously or break into two races, each lasting 5 minutes.

They charge Kshs 1,300 per session which lasts about 10 minutes. The ten minutes are about 10 laps for an average racer.

4. Mad Max Karting, Two Rivers Mall

Mad Max Karting is located in the biggest mall in East and Central Africa, Two Rivers Mall on Limuru Road. The 400-meter racing track is the first one in Africa to be situated in a shopping mall. It’s open to both adults and children.

They charge Kshs 2,500 and Kshs 4,000 on Weekdays for 10 minutes and 20 minutes respectively whereas on Weekends it will cost you Kshs 3,000 and Kshs 5,000 for 10 minutes and 20 minutes respectively.

5. Mombasa Go-Kart, Mombasa

Mombasa Go Kart is located along Malindi Road, just a few miles away from Haller Park. It has a track of about 500 meters long and 5 meters wide that comes complete with floodlights for night racing.

Go-kart is Kshs 1,400 per adult and Kshs 700 per kid, which is for a 10-minute race. The hour race program is Kshs 2,800.

The Eastern Ark Hotel is located along Kangundo Road, Malaa opposite KBC. They have a nice GP-Karting area open to both adults and kids. It will cost you Kshs 500 for 5 minutes and/or Kshs 1,000 for 10 minutes.

7. Chaka Ranch, Nyeri

The Chaka Ranch Leisure Park is an entertainment facility in Kiganjo, Nyeri County. Open daily including public holidays and only a two-hour drive from Nairobi City Centre. Has a 700-meter long and 8-meter wide tarmac track featuring a wide variety of bends and corners and plenty of space for overtaking.

Located off exit 15A (Nairobi bound Thika road), you may access the facility coming from Nairobi through exit 16, past Mangu Boys on the service lane, and a U-Turn 500 meters after Mangu Boys to head back to exit 15A. They are located right at exit 15A on the Nairobi bound lane.

9. Redhill Karting 

Redhill Karting is a great place to go for karting and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It is located near Bustani Gardens in Kianjogu, just off Limuru Road. It is easily accessible for those driving and is close to the main road. The karting ground is well-designed and the landscaping is stunning. The track is inviting and the indoor area allows you to see all around. The outdoor area is also very relaxing. The staff are friendly and helpful, making sure you have a great experience.

Karting starts at 11 am and goes until 7 pm. Before racing, they give you a short briefing on the instructions and safety rules. They provide overalls, gloves, and helmets for all racers and offer assistance if you get stuck on the track. After racing, they share the results of your fastest and slowest laps, which is very exciting. They are currently building a high ropes challenge, which will add to the fun activities available.

There is a restaurant on-site with delicious food and friendly waiters. The restaurant has snacks, drinks, and a sitting area with a great view. The restaurant is open until 9 pm. There is also a fascinating dome that can hold up to 10 people if you want to hang out in a private cube.
