Best Activities To Do At Two Rivers Mall

This post will focus on the best activities to do at Two Rivers Mall. The Mall is located on Limuru Road in Ruaka, Nairobi, one of the fastest-growing residential areas in terms of population and home to the young middle class. It also borders the Runda, Muthaiga, and Gigiri estates, some of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods. The Mall is also close to many embassies and the African headquarters of the United Nations.

Two Rivers Mall is the largest shopping centre in East Africa and is now the largest Mall in sub-Saharan Africa except in South Africa. The Mall got its name from the River Rui Ruaka and River Gachie, which perimeter and source water for use in the Mall.

The Mall is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and offers various food and shopping options for both children and adults. The shopping complex includes commercial and residential developments.

Two Rivers is well-known for its diverse, family-friendly activities, including a dancing fountain, a funscape theme park, and an appealing skating rink. It is a must-visit place if you’re looking for the best fun activities in Nairobi. The fun activities theme park is located at one end of the Mall, on the outdoor grounds of the food court section. One can access the Funscapes theme park at Two Rivers Mall from the ground floor entrance.

Fun Activities At Two Rivers Mall And Their Prices

1. Ferris Wheel Ride

It is Kenya’s first and only Ferris wheel, located at Two Rivers Mall, dubbed the ‘Eye of Kenya.’ It is currently Africa’s giant Ferris wheel, standing 60 meters high above the ground and 55 meters in diameter. It has 40 cabins/capsules and can hold up to 6 passengers simultaneously. Each cabin offers a panoramic view of Nairobi city. A single ticket costs Kshs 500 and rotates twice every 14 minutes. The slow wheel rotation allows passengers to enjoy the scenery and allows people to board and disembark without the wheel stops. There are no stops and starts, as there are on most Ferris wheels, just a continuous loop around to take in the spectacular views.

A cabin can be rented for a special occasion such as an engagement, wine tasting, birthday, chocolate tasting, etc. A ride in the ‘eye of Kenya’ is available between 11 am and 9 pm.
