Kisumu Impala Sanctuary Park Entrance Charges 2024

This post will look at the entrance charges to Kisumu Impala Sanctuary Park. The Impala Sanctuary is set on the shore of Lake Victoria, approximately 3 km from Kisumu city centre, near Hippo Point.

The Kisumu Impala Sanctuary is a peaceful, relaxing place to enjoy the natural beauty. The Park was gazetted in 1992 to protect the endangered impalas within the Lake region. Today, the sanctuary hosts impalas, the rare Sitatunga antelope, as well as big cats, buffalos, giraffes, cheetahs, and several primate species.

The sanctuary also has five campsites, namely Impala, Sunset, Albizia, Baboon, and Simba, with stunning views of Lake Victoria. The sanctuary’s activities include bird watching, nature hikes, camping, corporate & social events, game viewing, and glass-bottomed boat rides.

It should be noted that payments are only accepted via M-PESA and electronic means. When you go, make sure you have money on M-PESA or your Visa card.

Kisumu Impala Sanctuary Camping and Picnic Fees 

To go camping, you must first have your tent. When you arrive at the sanctuary, you will pay the normal entry fee as well as an additional camping fee of Ksh 200.

For picnics, all you need to pay is the normal entry fee. Visitors are permitted to bring food and snacks inside the sanctuary as long as they do not feed the animals and do not litter.

Kisumu Impala Sanctuary Park Opening Hours

The park is open year-round, from 6 am to 6 pm.
