Camp Ndunda Falls is one of the most stunning places we’ve ever been. It’s not just because of the area’s mild climate and lush, native trees; it’s also because of the many activities offered and the positive energy the area radiates.
The reception area at Camp Ndunda is a traditional grass-thatched hut that showcases the traditional way of life. Ample parking indicates the number of guests who frequently visit the camp. The kitchen, which is located next to the office, is where African delicacies are prepared. It has an open grass-roofed seating area decorated with vibrant African art, where guests may unwind while dining and watching TV on the mounted smart TV.

1. Zip Lining
They have two zip lines each 250 meters long and the zip lining is across the Rupingazi river and the forest. Here you get to put your fears to the test and live to tell the experience.

3. Nature Trail Walk
You can see some of the area’s unique fauna and bird species during the short, exciting stroll through a lovely forest with picturesque views. The trail leads to a team-building path that has rope swings supported by trees, and car tyres suspended from tree trunks to test one’s balance, while narrow pieces of wood joined by cables would lead to the rest of the path.
Beware of bees that have taken refuge inside the tyres. Deep into the forest, green vegetation, small insects, butterflies, flowers, wooden signposts and the currents as the water flows are visible.

5. Swimming at Ndunda Falls
The Ndunda Falls swimming pool is the ideal place to cool off on hot afternoons. A natural swimming pool is created by the waterfall, and it is completely free. The rocks are super slippery but the water is surprisingly not too cold. It is also pretty deep, like 23 feet. People who still can’t swim at the deep end, are given floaters. You can also dive if you have the guts for it.

6. Canopy Walk
This 150-metre-long and 35-meter-high wooden, open-hanging, is the most dangerous canopy you will ever see. It is one to make your adrenaline rush, as a misstep can lead you to your maker within seconds. The walk here is not for the faint-hearted, as it is open and requires you to hold onto the side ropes. Looking below are huge rocks that have surfaced due to a drop in water levels. The canopy walk leads to steep wooden stairs that make you walk in fours and from here one can see the waterfall. Some caves indicate the river tributary that is no longer there.
